It was good to hear the insights from the different aspects of our industry incl. Catercall Ltd and Mechline Developments plus water authorities Southern Water and Thames Water.

There is a lot of confusion in a market without governance or benchmarking.

Some great initiatives for us all to take away so we can take this matter seriously.

We Can Cook MAY by Gareth Sefton

Another successful WeCanCook in May getting the BBQ out in the sunny weather we cooked up Chipotle Chicken Tacos.

For June we have a very special recipe from Ashley Palmer-Watts of The Devonshire in Soho. Ashley has very kindly allowed us to use the popular Scallop recipe which can be downloaded here

New Colleague by Gareth Sefton

Our office is growing, and we’re excited to welcome our latest Trainee Cad/BIM technician Josh Omotosho.

Josh arrives with a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture and Planning and is passionate about accessibility in design with a particular focus in the Deaf Community and has achieved Level 2 in British Sign Language.

Please join us in giving Josh a warm welcome, I'm sure you will have the opportunity in meeting him at our office as we introduce him to the industry.

We would like to confirm that Gareth Sefton is no longer a shareholder of SHW Products Design Services LLC based in Dubai UAE. The formal separation will allow the companies to focus on their respective core business activities. Following the creation of the original company C.K.R.C. by Derek Horn in 2002 SHW has become a respected consultancy practice in the region and will continue to thrive with Steven Swindells at the helm and wish him and the team every success for the future.

There will be a period during which the branding will be adapted to recognise the companies being separate from each other.

The focus was on creating innovative solutions for the staff cafe incorporating street vendor pop-ups, self-checkout micro market, barista-made coffee offer and restaurant standard client dining suite. Emphasising values like sustainability, accessibility, and well-being played a pivotal role in the project's success.

We Can Cook - April 25 by Gareth Sefton

We have brought #WeCanCook back for a 3rd time this year, and is a simple way of encouraging cooking from scratch. Recipes will start simpler and build to being a little more tricky. There will be recipes suitable for quick mid-week meals and some bigger recipes for the weekend.

We invite anyone to join in, its most definitely NOT a competition and its all about taking part in the fun and enjoyment of cooking.

There will be a recipe uploaded at the beginning of each month and you are welcome to send your photos of the finished dishes to us at admin@shw-design.com.
